Our Story

So, how did we get here?

What started as an endless conversation in a hostel has taken us further than we could've ever imagined. Since then, there have been mountains climbed, cities explored, flights between Kenya and Kerala, far too many video calls, and countless ordinary days that we still cherish.

Long distance wasn't always easy, but somewhere along the way, we learned that the best part was simply having each other to share it all with. And now, we're taking the next big step of our journey.

We're so glad you'll be there to celebrate this milestone with us.

Welcome to Paradise

The Villa by Contemporary Ceylon is our little slice of the coast: a relaxed hideaway with tropical gardens, warm sea air, and plenty of space to linger together between celebrations.

Prepare yourself for a weekend of good food, golden sunsets, and big smiles by the water.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a visa for Sri Lanka?

Please check the Sri Lankan ETA website before you travel to see if you need a visa and apply for one if required.

What about transport from the airport?

Bandaranaike International Airport is around 1.5 hours from Wadduwa. We will be arranging a transfer service on Oct 16. You can let us know when you RSVP if you choose to require this service.

How do I reach the wedding venue from where I stay?

We're arranging a small shuttle service on October 17-18 for travelling between the wedding venue and guest accomodations.

What kind of weather can we expect?

That's a tough one to predict. But generally, Octobers in Wadduwa have mild showers with temperatures between 25°C to 30°C.

What is the dress code?

You can find the suggested dress code at the outfits section. Please feel free to use this only as a guide and wear what you feel comfortable in.

I have dietary requirements.

We’re preparing an international menu with a focus on local Sri Lankan flavours. If you have certain dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP and we'll try our best to accomodate your request.
